Astro is a metal fabricator providing design, laser cutting, bending, sawing, punching, machining, and welding for our architectural and industrial equipment clients.
You will see a wide variety of work over several industries.
This position will collaborate with the sales, engineering, and production departments to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Perform final inspection of parts to conformance with prints Perform spot check in process inspections Train operators in proper inspection methods Oversee job specific quality plans Ensure welding is performed in conformance with applicable welding codes Red tag and determine disposition for out of spec parts Log non-conformance Initiate corrective action procedure, working with production and engineering to complete Calibrate measuring devices Perform internal audits of QMS Assist with maintaining the QMS Inspect incoming materials Required Skills Print reading of metal fabrication projects Use of measuring devices; calipers, height stands, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
Ability to asses weld quality Understanding or quality management systems Minimum Experience 3 years in manufacturing setting preferably metal fabrication CWI certificate Job Type:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
